Offset ink is an ink specifically designed for the offset printing process in lithography. The characteristic of offset printing is that the graphic and textual areas (hydrophilic and hydrophobic) and non graphic and textual areas (hydrophilic and hydrophobic) on the printing plate (PS or CTP) are almost on the same plane. When printing, first wet the non graphic parts with water, then apply ink. The ink only adheres to the graphic parts, and then transfer the graphic parts to the substrate through a rubber blanket cylinder.
